Our SF in a Day tour will take you places that no other San Francisco tour does, traversing the city by cable-car, rail & bus to visit enchanted gardens, secret stairs & glorious rooftop vistas, creating an unforgettable experience. You’ll avoid crowds at the tourist hot-spots, while experiencing the culture of SF & learning its history. We’ll start your tour near the Embarcadero & take the cable-car up to Nob Hill. From there we go to City Hall (or Cable Car Museum) &, after going inside, we can grab a coffee in Hayes Valley. After that we head to the Castro, then walk through Dolores Park. We finish the morning part of the tour in the Haight, it's a great place to get some lunch. After that we take you to see an icon of San Francisco, the Painted Ladies. That's followed by a walk down another SF icon, Lombard Street. We finish the tour with a walk through North Beach & Chinatown. By then you’ll have had a fantastic experience of SF & made some beautiful memories to take home.

Be sure to allow extra time for traffic and finding parking. We CANNOT wait for latecomers, there are other guests.

Was a beautiful day. Weather 50-60s sunny windy. Our guide had a lot of knowledge and pride for the city to share. Favorite places were typical for tourists and getting to ride the trolley/ buses gave the full experience.

No matter how long you have in San Francisco, if you care to learn something about the city, the all day walking tour is 100% worth it. In one day, we were able to see many of the sights and neighborhoods that have made San Francisco famous, with our guide Jamie providing outstanding insight to how and why they came to be. He has a wealth of knowledge about all things San Francisco and did a great job answering all our questions! Thoughtful use of bus/cable car transit let us avoid the worst of the uphill treks without losing the best part of a walking tour—being able to see everything for more than just a quick drive-by. If you’re visiting for only a short time (as we were), the full day tour is a great overview of as much of the city as can fit in a single day. If you’re staying for longer, I’d recommend it to get a wide-ranging introduction to find places you’ll want to re-visit.

We did hit all of the promised sights. My main wish of this tour would have been to hear more about the history of the city itself, we got a lot of our tour guides history in the city. And more of a tour with less of our tour guides own opinions. Maybe I just expected more, but I was a little underwhelmed by the whole experience.
