Vess, my tour guide, made for a memorable tour to Macedonia from Sofia. He ensured that my needs were made and did an excellent job of explaining how this former part of Yugoslavia seeks to become its own nation. Bring your passport, as you need it to cross the border out of the European Union. I so enjoyed my tour that I booked a second day of touring that was designed to go to the mountains outside of Sofia. He also does adventure tours. I highly enjoyed spending a day visiting another country on Bulgaria’s doorstep.
