Vitosha is the first park in Bulgaria and on the Balkan Peninsula. It was declared a national park on 27 October 1934. In 2000 the park was categorized as Natural. Nowadays its territory is 27,079 ha. Two reserves are situated on its territory (biosphere reservation “Bistrishko Branishte” (Bistritsa Forest Reserve) and “Torfeno Branishte” (Turf Forest Reserve), as well as one natural landmark (the Duhlata Cave).
Vitosha offers excellent conditions for winter treks. We take you at the Vitosha Nature Park for an unforgettable snowshoes experience. Be ready! Let's experience the mountain hidden gems together.
If the weather conditions do no allow snowshoeing you are going to be upgraded for free to hiking the Vitosha mountains with the Black peak with a total duration of about 5,5 hours.

We had a magical snowy, cloudy outdoor adventure on a lower level of Mt Vitosha. We weren't able to snowshoe at higher elevation due to weather, but we were offered a guided hike instead. Overall, our hike was of moderate intensity, and for 2.5 hours. The tour guides were kind and generated a little conversation on the hike. I'd recommend serious winter weather/outdoor gear including shoes with grip. Lots of rocks and steep inclines. If you are not experienced with hiking and navigation, this would be a good trip for you.

Great day out at Mt Vitosha. Was originally supposed to snowshoe but the snow wasnt thick enough, so the administrator, Vristo, helped change it to a small day hike which was amazing! Apart from fast replies, the customer service team also speaks english (which makes communication and planning much easier), and is also very helpful.had a great guide as well. Kudos to the team, with a special shoutout to Vristo :)
