During your personal tasting experience I will guide you through the distinctive world of Bulgarian wines. Although Bulgaria has been producing wine for 5000 years it is still relatively unknown to the rest of the world. Now a rising new generation of Bulgarian boutique winemakers are devoted to the craft and bringing new attention to our country. You will taste 5 wine varieties of local grapes unique to Bulgaria, that can not be found anywhere else: Miskets, Melnik, Mavrud, Gumza and Rubin. Plus, local cheeses, artisanal bread and mineral water. The tasting is held in one of the best boutique wine shops in Sofia – Tempus Vini, which is located on an artsy street in the city center, known for its fine restaurants and boutiques. And just a few streets away from Sofia’s main pedestrian boulevard. During the tasting I can tell you about the wine regions of Bulgaria including the history and the wine culture of my beautiful country. All tastings are held in English or Bulgarian

A most excellent tour for certain! Our guide Kalin was very interactive and the experience was very enjoyable. We tasted 6 different vines, both wine and red, from different regions across Bulgaria. Perhaps the country could be a hidden gem for wine enthusiasts looking to refresh their taste buds. One more excellent point was the cheese he offered us which paired really well with the wines, my favourite being the “Kashkaval” Cheese. A highly worthwhile experience in the heart of Sofia, would certainly recommend to start your afternoon with some wine, provided in good portions by Kalin!

The presentation made by the owner himself was fabulous! He made the experience very exciting and knowledgeable at the same time. Book now! You will leave happy, enriched high volumes of knowledge on the evolving history of the Bulgarian wine and maybe a little tipsy ????. The catering was incredibly tasty too! All in all, great experience!

Excellent wine tasting experience. Flavorful and unique wines. Lovely crackers. Excellent and informative descriptions of the wine and very friendly atmosphere. I absolutely loved going to this experience on my birthday - it was the highlight!!
