Let us take you out for an unforgettable day. Following the Von Trapp story, we will visit several movie locations of the "Sound of Music". This includes a short city tour, the pond the children fell into, the 16-going-on17-gazebo and of course the wedding church. Your enthusiastic tour guide will give you lots of information about the filming of the Sound of Music, the real von Trapp family and Austrian culture and lifestyle in general. On this tour, we will also take a detour through the Austrian lake district to visit the UNESCO world cultural heritage site Hallstatt. You will learn about the fascinating story of this salt mining town and get 2 hours to explore this picturesque village on your own.

Excelkent tour guide. Beautiful sights to see. Would highly recommend. Hallstatt was a great addition to the tour. The small group tour was so much nicer than a large group.

The tour was everything we hoped it would be. Our tour guide Franziska was very friendly. She was knowledgeable about all the stops where the movie was made. We made multiple stops in Salzburg and well as photo stops along the way to Hallstatt. For our stop in Hallstatt we had 2 1/2 hours to explore on our own. During the day she talked about interesting events that took place during the filming as well as fun facts about the actors. She provided information about how the film compared to the original Von Trapp family, and historical information relating to that time period. Our tour was an eight person, all day tour which worked out perfectly. I highly recommend this tour and Franziska if you are lucky enough to get her! Betty

Had a great time seeing the sound of music sights and Hallstatt. Our tour guide was very nice and informative. I learned a lot about the von trapps and sound of music! Hallstatt was incredible. Definitely would recommend.
