Let us take you out for an unforgettable day. Following the Von Trapp story, we will visit several movie locations of the "Sound of Music". This includes a short city tour, the pond the children fell into, the 16-going-on17-gazebo and of course the wedding church. Your enthusiastic tour guide will give you lots of information about the filming of the Sound of Music, the real von Trapp family and Austrian culture and lifestyle in general. On this tour, we will also take a detour through the Austrian lake district to visit the UNESCO world cultural heritage site Hallstatt. You will learn about the fascinating story of this salt mining town and get 2 hours to explore this picturesque village on your own.

Our tour guide made our tour! He was so accommodating and nice! He took us to the best spots for pictures. His lunch recommendation was wonderful!

We had an amazing day with Francesca, who was our assigned tour guide. She really knew her stuff, was very kind, and also took great photos of us! I chose this tour as I preferred smaller groups to the huge bus ones. We also had good timing as we managed to get to all of the places before the big buses came, so we were able to take some good photos and also spend more time hearing about movie trivia without needing to rush. Halstatt was a beautiful town, but as can be expected, also expensive!! (Be prepared with cash, as most establishments do not accept card)

I would highly recommend this tour through Bob’s Special Tours. If you are fortunate enough to get Elvis as your guide he is Amazing! The tour itself is fabulous. Hallstatt is stunning.loved the Sound of Music part. Elvis even took the tour group (7 in a beautiful van) all from different parties to an extra stop that wasn’t part of the tour where he treated us all to cakes and coffee. Best tour guide we’ve had anywhere in the world. Salzburg and Hallstatt are breathtakingly beautiful.
