This was a great couple of hours. Mauricio and his wife were great hosts. Expect to work hard while you join in paddling the canoe out to the bay and back, but the sights are well worth the effort.

Foi inesquecível ver o sol nascer na baía de Guanabara. O passeio inclui fotos profissionais e ficaram muito boas também. É bem cansativo, mas vale à pena se vc quer uma experiênica única na vida. Eu só diria que faltou informações por parte da empresa. Ao chegar, o acesso à Marina da Glória estava bloqueado de madrugada e eu como turista não tinha como saber.

All the guides seemed great though we interacted with Manual the most since he spoke English. The other guides spoke Portuguese and the other participants were from the area and some had done the tour multiple times. Manuel was very friendly and upbeat! He was very nice about taking us to the side and explaining things in English and making sure we understood the mechanics. We had kayaked before but not really canoed with a group. The departure location was changed due to the weather and high waves at the initial site in Barra da Tijuca so it was moved to Marina de Gloria The tour lists "stops for photos and invigorating dives" so make sure to wear a bathing suit if you want to jump in! And not stated on the tour but I would definitely recommend water shoes or flip flops. If we ever make a return trip we would definitely book another canoe excursion out of Barra da Tijuca with Manuel and the company!
