This half-day tour offers the opportunity to have a better understanding of the socioeconomic aspects of our city. We will get a glipse into the lives of people who live the favela. We can walk through the alleys, see how the locals live and understand more about their everyday life. Home to thousands of people, the favela is a place of resistance with vibrant culture and lots to see. We may visit the Favela da Rocinha or Favela do Vidigal, depends on the day.     Located between the neighborhoods of Gávea and São Conrado, Rocinha is the biggest “favela” in Latin America. You will learn and closely see the diversified culture of people living there. We may visit Favela da Rocinha or Favela do Vidigal. It depends on the day.

I loved this tour to the favela and enjoyed our guide Lydia. She took us to great places--especially the viewpoints. I would've given this 5 stars but the ride to the favela for 5 people was very tight--not comfortable. It would have been sufficient if only three people, but five, it was crowded--especially since the ride took about an hour due to traffic. Still seeing the favela up close and personal was a real treat. We felt safe and comfortable there.

The Rocinha favela is a 5-star favela. It remains very touristy but still to be seen to get an idea of how you live. Thanks to the local guide Elio, we could not have happened a better guide.

Una gran experiencia conocer las favelas desde adentro y sobre todo con alguien local. Nos sentimos muy seguros en todo momento. Nos tenían una sorpresa preparada con una escuela de Samba y capoeira con niños del barrio donde cantamos y bailamos. Muchas gracias Elio por el hermoso paseo!! Lo disfruté mucho junto a mis hijos.
