Located in the West side of Rio, inside the huge Pedra Branca State park, with plenty of native forest and wild life. At 1,161 feet (354 meters) high, Pedra do Telégrafo, offers sweeping views of wild beaches, Tijuca forest, Barra da Tijuca and the famous Restinga da Marambaia, almost 43km long white sand strip with restrict access. You can stand on top of or hang from a large, sharp rock, which isn’t actually very far off the ground, your camera angle can make it appear like you’re a daredevil about to fall down the mountainside. The best selfie ever! On the way back we will drive by Grumari, Prainha, Macumba and Recreio dos Bandeirantes beaches. If you are traveling alone let us know that we can include you in an existing group.

Pick up was at 4am. Informed by operator by email at 12:30am that no guides were available. We had booked this trip on Tuesday afternoon for Thursday morning so plenty of time to let us know. No communication received from operator other than this last minute cancellation. They completely ruined our plans during our limited time in Rio - we got up at 3:30am to find out we weren’t going. Do not trust your plans these guys.

Belle expérience avec les motos taxi qui vous montent sur une partie du trajet puis il faut continuer à pied pour arriver au rocher ! Ça monte quand même pas mal avec beaucoup de rochers et de racines ça fait partie des rando les plus faciles de Rio mais quand même ! Après très beau point de vue a mis chemin et en haut avec le fameux rocher . Possibilité de prendre le photographe mais il n’est pas insistant, nous on s’est débrouillé seul ! Il peut y avoir beaucoup de monde il faut savoir que même avec un temps nuageux il peut retravailler la photo avec un beau ciel bleu pour quelques réais !

Great hike with amazing views! Felipe was super nice and educated us along the way with different plants and wildlife. Hike was moderate and took about an hour. Highly recommend doing the 4am trip as there weren’t many people when we got to the top.
