The original hang gliding experience over Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Operated by, WXC World Champion, National Champion, National team member and multi Record holder Konrad Heilmann and his team of friendly, safe and fully certified instructors. The unique experience of flying a Hang Glider, launching of the Tijuca Forest National Park, surrounded by tropical Atlantic Forest, unique views of the Atlantic ocean and many landmarks of Rio such as Rocinha, Sugar Loaf, Christ the Redeemer and more, finishing with a smooth landing on the white sands of beautiful São Conrado beach.

  • Hang Gliding Club fee/insurance 100 Brazilian Reais, aprox 20,00 USD (+10% for card payments)
  • Hotel pickup and drop-off, transfer service can be requested, cost varies according to location.

  • Hotel transfers aren't included but can be arranged, cost varies by location, please contact us after booking if you would like to request the service.
  • A maximum of 8 people per booking
  • If you plan taking the 360° camera option, it's recommended to install the "insta 360" app from the App store/Play Store before you come, this will help expediting imagery transfer times after your flight.
  • Pictures and videos are usually downloaded to your phone so please make sure to have at least 3GB available for the standard imagery and another 7GB if you're planning on taking the 360° camera option.
  • For safety reasons and aircraft capacity persons of or above 100kg/220lb can't be accepted for Hang Gliding, but paragliding might still be an alternative. On certain days, depending on wind and weather or mobility restrictions, even persons slightly below mentioned weight might be redirected to Paragliding for their own safety.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

This was a highlight of the trip! The pilots were extremely quick in getting us signed up with the waivers, up the mountain, and prepped to fly. Heads up, our flights were about 7 minutes each due to the wind that day. But we all agreed that it was still worth it. Just know that going into it. It was so fun we almost rebooked for the next day as well!

I went solo, felt safe. The men were gentlemen, fun, cool experience and photos. Would definitely do it again!

A experiência foi incrível. Curti muito a vista e a beleza do Rio de Janeiro. Com certeza faria de novo. O instrutor foi super educado e atencioso, mostrou e falou sobre todos os pontos turísticos que deu pra ver lá de cima. A única coisa que não gostei foi que não recebi nenhum e-mail deles próximo da data da reserva com informações como ponto de encontro e a taxa extra que tinha que ser paga na hora. Fui até o endereço informado, mas não era lá. Tive que achar um lugar que tivesse sinal para que eu pudesse ligar pra eles já que essas informações não tinham sido passadas com antecedência. E fiquei decepcionada com a taxa extra, pois não tinha ciência disso.
