The day tour starts with pick-up at your hotel or hostel in Rio (depends your area). Your first stop will be at Chrsit Statue (ticket included) to avoid the crowd we arrive early there. From there, you will visit Tijuca National Park and get a glimpse of the greenest tropical rainforest. This is the best spot to check how nature and the urban area can coexist, while seeing waterfalls, tropical plants, and wildlife. After that, stop for lunch (not included) and then hit the road again, this time to visit Maracana Stadium from outside, then go towards the Centro to go to Cinelandia (Municipal Theater) from outside and the Cathedral (visit inside). Then finally we will visit the Selaron Steps at Lapa and Santa Teresa Neighborhood. At the end of your day you will be offered the option to be dropped off at Sugarloaf Mountain in time for enjoying the sunset or to be dropped off back at your hotel or hostel.

Firstly we are English with no Portuguese or Spanish and they put us on a tour with 18 Spanish speakers. The guide, Giovanna, did however speak excellent English and was good fun and informative but she had 18 Spanish speakers & 2 English so understandably her main focus was upon them. It was noticeable that the transport rather than being executive was a rattling, bouncy converted van that left several of the tourists in very cramped seats. Also the tour operator arranged the cheap entry tickets at each of the main attractions Sugarloaf Mountain & Christ the Redeemer meaning we stood in line whist all the other visitors went past us and straight in. The other visits on the tour were just infills and nothing of real interest. The worst experience was the lunch. In some dingy back street we were taken to the most awful self service restaurant that looked like food poisoning was almost inevitable. Avoid this company & this tour.

The best travel agency in Rio de Janeiro, took me to wonderful places, and with great safety. The tourist guide Ricardo very receptive and attentive with everyone. I did the BIG DUDE TOUR and it was amazing, I knew the main sights and perfect places to take amazing photos and leave registered. A UNIQUE MOMENT!
