Denis is on-time, focussed on your interests and able to interpret history, architecture, politics, art, botany, current events and more. The business hosts for my work contracted for Denis to take me and the wife of my visiting colleague on this half-day tour --and a better choice of guide could not have been made. For me the high point was gaining an understanding of the built heritage of São Paulo, from the Jesuit missionaries' first church with existing 15th century wall to the heroic stadium from the Pelé era to the concrete canyon of Paulista Avenue with the elevated modern art gallery in the most prominent point. Happily, there are some heritage zoning designations to maintain this treasure. Next best was the interior of the Food Market with its fantastic display (and tasting treat) of fruit, meat, cheese, seafood, and much more. The view from the cafés on the upper floor is breathtaking. Interesting that the building was a copy of a European train station. All through the tour, Denis was attentive, adept in English, a careful and experienced driver and thoroughly delightful. Thanks to him, I have a very nice memory of the city and its vitality and history. Certainly great value, with wonderful rewards for choosing Denis as your guide to the city.
