Loved this city that just seemed to rise out of the surrounding country. Incredibly friendly people and a place you can just feel the history. Amazing food and wonderful small shops and restaurants. Would definitely recommend a guide as very few people spoke English, but SilkRoad took care of everything, allowing us to see what we wanted to see when we wanted to see it and made the whole thing nothing but enjoyable.
