The Victoria Anna is dated but classy and functional and we really enjoyed our 5 day/4 night cruise from Yichang to Chongqing, embarking on Saturday afternoon and disembarking on Wednesday morning.
We upgraded to a junior suite, cabin 507, which was clean and had a safe, kettle, two bottles of water each day in room, tea, coffee, fridge, hairdryer. A small tv with one English speaking channel - CNN. 2 main electric sockets on the opposite side of the room to the bed, which was annoying, as we were using our phone as an alarm. No usb sockets. A big umbrella, two single beds, double beds only available if you upgrade even more. 2 bathrobes, 2 pairs of slippers, full length mirror, writing desk and chair, 2 other easy chairs, a small table, some drawer space in the wardrobe. Very useful Aircon. A large bathroom with sink, toilet and shower over a bath, with shampoo and body cleanser. A washing line above the bath. Bistro table and 2 chairs on the balcony. Bowl of fruit in the cabin.
We also upgraded to the Executive Amenities Package, which meant about 30 of us ate in the Victoria Lounge on deck 6, with waitress service, while the 200 other passengers ate in the main buffet dining room on the second floor. We had an a la carte option for dinner only and drinks were included for lunch and dinner, also a happy hour in the main bar for one hour before dinner, when certain drinks were free and soft drinks throughout the day. The package starts the day after embarkation. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good.
Pay your bill on board with cash, not credit card, as the conversion rate was very unfavourable and cost me over £30 more than normal on our £360 upgrade bill.
An excursion was included each day. It was a great way to travel the 600kms along the Yangtze and learn about life there.
