    The Western Han Nanyue King's Tomb Museum is situated on the Jiefang North Road of Guangzhou, on the Xianggang Hill which is to the west of Yuexiu Park. The tomb is so far the largest color-painting stone tomb of Southern China. Continue to another two symbolic attractions in Guangzhou - the Zhenhai Tower, also known as Guangzhou Museum, and the Five-Ram Statue located in Yuexiu Mountain Stadium.

    From the 18th to the mid 19th century,it is the only place where foreign traders were permitted to set up their warehouse and factories—a reminder of Guangzhou’s colonial history. An interesting day of sightseeing but it could have been longer. Although we were picked up less than 1 km from Dr Sun Yet Sens Memorial hall and drove past it, this significant site, full of information about the democratic revolution in the 1920s, it was not included in the tour. We visited it the next day and it is a must in any tour of Guongzhou. The tour started at 9 am and concluded about 3 pm. An extra hour or two would have been good. Our guide was knowledgeable and had a good grasp of English
