  • Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China
    Drive to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. We will ascend the Yuanjiajie Mountain by the famous Bailong Elevator - a glass elevator built into the side of the mountain. On the summit, you will take about 2.5 hours to discover the "Hallelujah Avatar Mountains", the Platform of Forgetfulness, the NO. 1 Bridge under Heaven, and some other breathtaking sights. Afternoon proceed to climb up the Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve to see the breathtaking karst sandstone pillars. Later, take the cable car down the mountain and transfer to visit the Golden Whip Stream. Drive back to your hotel and end the trip.

We used Zhangjiajie Tour Guide to arrange our activities and accommodations in Zhangjiajie and Guilin.  We were very pleased with activities, the guides provided,  and the accommodations.   Our contact, Tango, recommended activities that fit well with our desire to hike and view the natural beauty of these areas.  The quality and location of the hotels selected exceeded our expectations.

The whole experience was 100% professional: in response to my enquiry Tango Tan customised a 3 day tour for me to suit my hotel location and my exit by train. The communication was first class as it took a couple of attempts to match my schedule, For some obscure reason, I paid twice and the company refunded one immediately without my even asking. The tour itself was well planned and Iris, my guide, was great as she took photos with her quality camera phone the whole time. She explained enough without being encyclopedic and her English was excellent. The big advantage of a guide is that you are going to go smoothly thru the ticketing, bussing, transport and sequencing mechanism that can be daunting at best or go horribly wrong. Local knowledge comes thru experience! A little warning for non-Chinese; Chinese are glued to their phones like a diver to a air tank. Don't be upset by this. It's just the way young Chinese are, I had chauffeured transport when I needed it as the park is large and has different entrances. For instance from Wulingyuan to Zhangjiajie is about 40km. Bruce was a wonderful tour guide. He's a very gentle person, his English is spoken clearly & understandable. We thoroughly recommend him. He has a nice calming relaxed feel about him, he understands our Australian humor & we had some interesting conversations about his life in China.He is very knowledgeable about history & the areas we visited with him. Bruce is very punctual & accommodating all variations to our tour & needs. He has a very keen interest in Chinese history, his rates a very reasonable. It was a pleasure spending 3 days with him & we wish him good times ahead with his business & his lovely family.
