    Travel with Wandee who tauch 2 finalists of The World Cook Season2 by Amazon Prime Series. She own cooking school in Khao Lak. Wandee is an expert about food at the hidden town, Takuapa. This place used to be a prosperous ancient trade city on the West coast of Thailand and has retained its simple and charming life style to this day. Let’s explore over 20 different food stalls where the locals come for their dining out. Start with unique chicken coconut milk curry sauce grill on charcoal, named “Gai Kolae”, then try a yummy tiny Thai sausage with pork and preserved rice. Get surprised by a royal cuisine Thai coconut pancake”, Kanom Krok” that is created right in front of you. Sit down to sample some Hoi Mok Pla in the banana leaf, a steamed curry fish, Southern style and more. At the end of the tour you will not leave without an incredible volcano roti pancake and “Cha Yen”, our Thai tea with milk. End your marvelous day with Thai Coffee at Chinese Portuguese cafe in Old town.

    We had such a great time with Wandee on this food tour. She was both relaxed and engaging making sure we were all enjoying ourselves. The many things we tried were all delicious, it seemed we could have kept trying more and more in different locations but the amount in the end defeated us all! Do skip lunch as you will eat early. Nice to see some new locations too with markets, country side and the beautiful Takua Pa where a cafe visit was one of the highlights. Mr O drove us around excellently and certainly looked after us all very well too. Can highly recommend, lots of fun!

    Wandee made the four of us very comfortable as she directed us to some of the culinary delights of Takua Pa. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for real Thai cooking

    This is more than just a food tour. Wandee is a brilliant guide and hostess. She has a great report with the locals and expansive knowledge, which makes this wonderful experience even more enjoyable. We (mum, dad, boy 14, girl 11) spent a relaxed afternoon and evening enjoying a large variety of dishes and street food in and around Takua Pa. Not only did we try so many delicious things we would not have had the courage to try without our guide, but her knowledge of the food (and the area) are amazing. Our visit to Thailand was in the off-season, but we are so thankful that the street food market in Old Town Takua Pa was running. It was the highlight of the tour, and even our whole trip so far! The varied textures of the rustic township, the Portuguese and Chinese influence on the architecture, the sights and sounds, and the mouth-watering smells - all were magical. The food was great, and the people friendly and welcoming. Thank you, Wandee, for an unforgettable experience.
