    Basically, there are two types of Thai boxing in Patong: the staged stuff and the real McCoy. For the real article look no further than Patong Boxing Stadium on Sai Namyen Road. Talk about an atmosphere. Surrounding the ring are the more expensive seats and further out are blue-painted bleachers providing a bird's eye view of the proceedings.

    It was a great experience for seeing Muay Thai live. We booked ringside tickets. The show started on time and as soon as one fight finished the next one began so there wasn’t any waiting around. They also offer drinks service so you can stay seated and not miss any action. What stopped me giving it 5 stars was due to one fight involving a young Thai teenager of only 15 years old up against an older and bigger Russian. The Russian did not hold back and promptly celebrated knocking this boy near unconscious. An unfair fight that left a bitter taste and meant that I didn’t enjoy the last few fights because of this.

    Absolutely must see this if you are in Phuket! It was incredible and had so much fun. I booked to go with friends and we had the best fun getting into each round.
