Ciqikou is a very old part of Chongqing, it is very ancient but lively. I thing it is older than Chongqing is . The are I seen was like an alleyway lined with vendors mostly selling many different Chinese foods. It should be on your list of things to tour if you get the chance.
I was there in April of 2005
