Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi), Chengdu, Sichuan, China This private day tour starts at 8:00 am, the tour guide and driver will pick you up from the lobby of your hotel. You will then be driven to visit the Chengdu Research Center of Giant Panda Breeding which has been created to imitate the panda's natural habitat so that they might have the best possible environment for rearing and breeding. There you will see lovely furry giant pandas of all ages eating. You will also have a chance to see the very cute baby pandas. 180 minutes
Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo), Leshan, Sichuan, China Lunch will be on your own arrangement and tour guide will recommend some local specialties to you. Afterwards, drive to Leshan to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha. Here you may take a boat to have a whole view of the Giant Buddha then walk into the park to see it up close (or choose one of these options). The Leshan Giant Buddha is a sitting stone statue of Maitreya carved on a cliff at the confluence of the Min River, the Qingyi River and the Dadu River. Measuring about 233-feet high, this Buddha with a serious expression is the largest stone Buddha in the world and whose carving work took about 90 years. Facing the river, the Buddha has a symmetrical posture and look which have been beautifully captured in its solemn stillness.
At the end of the tour, the guide and driver will transfer you back to the city and drop you off at the hotel. Service ends here. 300 minutes

A great day out. Bella was really informative and a great tour guide. Loved seeing the pandas. would definitely recommend this trip.

Highly recommend both these sights. I would definitely so a private tour to both places. The guides know where to go, where to stand on the boat and where to get the best pictures. This was a two day trip for both sights.
