Many travelers enjoy a great city like Bilbao but are unaware that Bilbao would be nothing without the towns that surround it along the Nervión estuary as it reaches the sea. This tour goes through all the towns on the two banks of the estuary, learning about their history and visiting all of its most emblematic corners, from Barakaldo to Algorta, passing through Santurce. Crossing the estuary on a historic bridge such as that of Portugalete in an authentic experience. A visit to the mining town of La Arboleda is also included, climbing the historic La Reineta Funicular.

    After stopping in the municipality of Sestao to observe a beautiful panorama of the Ria del Nervión, we will go to Santurce, a town with great marine tradition and stroll through its port.

  • Puente Colgante Vizcaya, Getxo, Spain
    We continue to Portugalete where a universal jewel awaits us: the Bizkaia Suspension Bridge. We will have the possibility of ascending to its highest part thanks to the elevator that elevates us to 50m high. The views are spectacular. Then we will proceed to cross the estuary mounted on the boat that takes us to the other side.

    Once on the right bank of the estuary we will approach the Puerto Viejo de Algorta, a charming place for the Bizkaians. Walk through its streets that will take us to distant times. To end the excursion we approach Punta galea to enjoy its vertical cliffs and incredible views of the Cantabrian Sea and the El Abra Superport.

Hemos conocido Bilbao en un tour maravilloso de la mano de un gran profesional, Jose Luis. Durante todo el día aprendimos de cultura, historia, de comidas típicas ( por cierto las alubias de Maite en la Arboleda, exquisitas), Todo esto de una forma amena y muy muy profesional. Ya te lo hemos dicho Jose, esta profesión está hecha para ti y ojalá todos los que apuestan por mostrar a los demás la historia y vida en Bilbao, lo hagan con el mismo amor como tú lo haces. Realicé tres rutas distintas con mi familia y todas me gustaron, a cual más, ya que se ven cosas distintas pero todas ellas muy interesantes. José Luís no es sólo un guía excepcional que está atento constantemente para adaptarse a tus necesidades o gustos, sino que también te brinda su amistad y al finalizar el viaje supe que ya habíamos formado una mini cuadrilla los cuatro. No sólo aprendí historia y cultura, también pude conocer sus costumbres y lengua un poco más; todo ello de la forma más amena y cercana posible. Agradecer a José Luís tanto por su profesionalidad como por el trato recibido por ser excelentes. Eskerrik asko! Moltes gràcies!
