    We'll start our tour on the Riva. It is a meeting point, of both locals and visitors, and the main city promenade. Here I am going to explain you how Riva was built during the centuries and tell you about its importance for locals as it became central place in the city. Also, the southern wall of Diocletian's Palace is beautifully seen from that spot.

  • The Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace, Split, Croatia
    From Riva we will enter into the central part of the cellars of the Diocletian`s Palace where I am going to tell you about it s usage during history. Leaving the cellars, we are now at Peristyle, the open space of the imperial square. As a central spot of the Palace, it is framed on both sides by monumental arcades and oriented towards the imperial loggia. Admire the stunning colonnaded square, one of the most beautiful ones on the Mediterranean. Also you will be able to hear about transitions of the buildings and life as result of expansion of christianity.

I really enjoyed every moment of walking old town, its streets, squares. Ivan is knowledgeable , funny and easygoing . As a solo traveler, would definitely recommend this tour to get familiar with the city .
