The tour started at the offices of Given2Fly in the center of Split. We were handed a helmet and the bike and went of to cycling with our guide Mislav. He led us through the pedestrian zone and towards the Marjan peninsula where he showed us a few interesting spots like Sustipan park, Mestrovic Gallery and Kasjuni beach. From there we cycled into the traffic-calmed zone and had an ice cream stop at Bene beach :) That was already a highlight.
The distance wasn't really that much, but with all the stops, it took us a little more than 1 hour to reach the Plojud stadium. There we joined a group tour through the stadium including the trophy room and a visit to the field. I'm not into soccer/football at all, but that was actually really interesting and definitely worth a visit (especially with a husband on the side) since the city of Split is full of promotion for its local club Hajduk. The tour was held in Croatian and English. Whenever we missed an explanation Mislav jumped in and translated again.
Having had already an interesting tour, we then cycled to a local craft beer pub behind the National Theater of Split. The owner had turned his private "man cave" into a running business and invited us to taste 3 craft beers in this very extraordinary hidden pub. He was very talkative and we enjoyed chatting with him about the current situation in Croatia (2020) and life in Split.
Our guide Mislav made a very good job in leading us around the Marjan Park and organizing everything around the tour. He was very knowledgable and gave some interesting insights along the tour.
This was our last day in Split and we left with a nice experience in the pocket.
