Madu Ganga Biodiversity Area, Balapitiya, Sri Lanka A mangrove lagoon joined to the sea by a narrow canal and containing 15 islands of varying size, some of which are inhabited. Sur l'ile de la cannelle de Madu River : Ça commence par un thé à la cannelle délicieux, suivi d'une démonstration de la récolte de l'écorce sur l'arbre de la cannelle et ça se termine par la vente de sachets de cannelle en poudre .
Pour les sachets cachetés sous plastique c'est de la pure arnaque car de retour de voyage, il s'est avéré que la poudre en question n'est autre qu'une vulgaire terre ocre puante. Naturellement, il ne nous vient pas à l'idée d'ouvrir les sachets sur place et c'est sur cet aspect que les petits malhonnêtes comptent.
Donc à éviter l'ile de la cannelle et se satisfaire d'acheter dans les magasins spécialisés ( jardins d'épices ). Les guides, ignorant certainement l'arnaque, conseillent généralement d'acheter sur l'ile car c'est beaucoup moins cher...
