Offering you full day Kumana jeep safari tours, we’ll show you the hidden wildlife treasures of the national park that is situated approximately 35km south of Arugam Bay. Picking you up from your hotel at 5 am, this Kumana National Park safari tour from Arugam Bay will enter the park at 6.00 am, one of the best times of the day to spot animals. Explore the thick wilderness of the park for several hours in the morning. After another hour of entertaining safari game drive, stop for your lunch and enjoy the flavors of a traditional Sri Lankan meal under the shade of some giant trees or near the river. After lunch, the tour will resume when the heat reduces and the animals become active once again, which will continue till 6:00 pm.

Some animals and bird varieties you can see in Kumana are Elephants, Leopards, Golden Jackal, Wild Boar, European Otter, Mugger Crocodile, turtles, pelicans, painted storks, Lesser Whistling Glossy Ibis, Purple Heron, Great Egret, Indian Pond Heron, Weathercock, Purple Swamp hen, Intermediate Egret, spoonbills, white ibis, herons, egrets and Duck Black-crowned Night Heron.

Although it’s a long day we had an amazing time! Our driver Ravi and guide Malinda were incredible at showing us around as well as dealing with an approaching elephant. We were able to see two leopards in different locations which made the long day worth it. Food was provided for us and being able to eat lunch in those surroundings was an amazing experience.

A once in a lifetime experience with a highly professional team offering the best experience in Kumuna! So many animals and birds, what made our trip was a great jeep, and our knowledgeable tour guide Ravi! He had an eye for wildlife and had so much knowledge to share. We saw alligators within 5min of leaving the hotel! Crazy how much there is to see! The booking online payment was convenient. A great memorable experience!
