    Udawalawe National Park lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, in Sri Lanka. The national park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir. Udawalawe is an important habitat for water birds and Sri Lankan elephants. It is a popular tourist destination and one of the most visited park in the country.

It was amazing from first to last moment. Very helpfullness, right on time, perfect communication, very attentive drivers. We saw a lot of animals, especially elephants from long and very short distance too. We have daytime safari, guide recommend us this time and it was a perfect decision. It was a fantastic day,! Very high recommend!!!

Fue una experiencia genial! Vimos muchisimos animales, además de elefantes. Lo recomiendo totalmente y especialmente a Shehan, el guía, que fue un encanto y nos lo pasamos muy bien con el.

Shehan created a wonderful day for me and made it nice and easy as a solo traveller. He had great communication with me before, during and after the trip (and even checked to make sure I got home safely with our driver and gave me a recommendation for a local eatery to try ‘hoppers’). Shehan also added in a stop for me so I could go to a tea plantation. Before the safari I got to stop at a lovely restaurant where I tried a traditional Sri Lankan curry. On the safari we saw many wildlife and Shehan and the jeep driver help scout out all the wildlife to me and explain somethings about them, so I learnt a lot. Thank you very much Shehan for arranging a great day for me! ☺️
