Two drive from Galle is worth the effort. We spent 3.5 hours in the park and our naturalist and driver were highly engaged to find elephants, birds, deer, lizards and even a crocodile.

Had a fantastic experience at Udawalawe National Park with a safari arranged by Lakpura. Driver picked me up from my hotel on time (actually a few minutes early) and delivered me to the guide at the park. An almost 4-hr wildlife drive through the park by jeep. Although elephants are a highlight (we saw many up close), the park supports a diverse array of wildlife, and my guide was very knowledgeable of the natural history of all the species we encountered. He also made sure you had all the viewing time/pictures you wanted before moving on. At the end of the safari the driver was waiting to return to my hotel. Both driver and guide were courteous and professional. I highly recommend this safari from Lakpura, and for your other travel needs. A special thanks to Hansika from Lakpura for making arrangements and always available to provide details, answer questions, and checking in.

I booked my Safari through Lakpura Tourism and under the stewardship of Hansika and Kani I was able to enjoy an amazing sunset Safari where we saw many elephants, water buffalo, birds, crocodiles, and even a monitor lizard!
The Safari was amazing, but the service provided by the Lakpura team was top notch. They were extremely communicative making the trip completely stress free from a logistical standpoint.
I look forward to using Lakpura the next time I return!
