    Upon arrival at the starting point of National park, you will shift to an open concept observation jeep and will direct you to the Wilpattu, the best sight where you can see "Willu", Natural, sand-rimmed water basins or depressions that fill with rainwater. Our primary focus of this experience will be endemic leopards & wild elephants roaming around. Our co host (trekker by profession) will direct you to the spots where you can en-count these creatures, along the knowledge grabbed by being in this nature as a long stayed host for wildlife experiences. 31 species of mammals have been identified within Wilpattu national park (Mammals that are identified as threatened species living within the Wilpattu National Park are the elephant (Elephas maximus maximus), sloath bear (Melursus ursinus inornatus), leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya) and water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis). sambar deer (Rusa unicolor unicolor), spotted deer (Axis axis ceylonensis), mongoose, birds and more)

    The tours is nice, but paying more via viator wont do much as you will not receieve a a great service. Organisation was off in so many things. Book locally

    We had a really wonderful safari. Organisation was great, we needed to customise our itinerary a bit to get between cities and they were super helpful making adjustments to suit us. A driver picked us up from trincomalee and took us to the safari in Wilpattu. There, we met our safari guide and our bags were taken to our nearby hotel. Our safari guide was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent english. He was able to find and point out animals that we would never have seen otherwise. We saw elephants, cobras, deer, monkeys, a mongoose and a sloth bear! Very cool experience. The jeep was comfortable and the lunch provided was excellent! Our safari guide then dropped us to our hotel where our bags were waiting. A seamless trip! Many of the other safari guests we saw had two guides meaning that they had much higher park entrance fees. We felt very fortunate that our guide was also our driver and was so knowledgeable. This way our fees were not as high as other providers. Thank you!!!
