Paddle across the largest saltwater lagoon in the Antilles on a guided kayak expedition. Your tour begins at Kim Sha Beach in Simpson Bay. Upon arrival receive a kayaking lesson and safety orientation before setting off on your sit-on-top kayak. You will follow your guide at a leisurely pace across the largest saltwater lagoon in the Antilles and marvel at the magnificent mega yachts that make St. Maarten their winter base from November to April. During your paddle your guide will point out sights of interest, including the imaginary water border between the Dutch and French sides of the island. A brief stop gives you a chance to rest your muscles as well as learn about the island’s vibrant history and the lagoon’s complex ecosystem before paddling back to Kim Sha for a refreshing dip in the ocean and a well deserved complimentary beverage.

Our guide Elroy was the best! He showed us how to kayak, took us on a wonderful tour, gave insight on the history and aquatic animals that we found, and he even helped us find the best fresh fish for our after kayak lunch

We had a fantastic time kayaking with Tri-Sport Eco Tours! Our group of 7 teenage boys and 4 adults from Saba was expertly guided by Juan Pablo, who led us on a memorable adventure through St. Maarten’s lagoon. We spotted iguanas and upside-down jellyfish basking in the sun while paddling our kayaks. Juan Pablo was an outstanding guide—offering helpful technique tips and sharing fascinating insights about the local ecosystem, especially the vital role mangroves play in protecting both land and sea. His enthusiasm and knowledge made the experience not only fun, but also educational and meaningful. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the island from a new perspective. Thank you Tri-Sport for an unforgettable outing!

We did a tour with Tri Sports through Royal Carribean, on a cruise stop. Our tour guides were Casey and Junior were top notch. They conducted the tour with professionalism but with the fun flair of island life. They were also accomodating with letting me take my own individual kayak rather than share with a stranger who appeared to be in over their head on the excursion requirements (I was in a group of 3). The small sampling I had of St Maarten makes me want to return and this tour is a major reason.
