The Chief towers high above the town of Squamish and is a popular hiking destination that offers scenic views of Howe Sound and several mountains in Garibaldi Provincial Park. Whether you’re packing the latest and greatest DSLR unit or a camera phone, your guide with over 10 years of hiking and guiding experience will make sure you learn to take amazing photos. This is a challenging hike, not for beginners, but the guide will help you along the way, taking breaks and sharing pointers while hiking. With small groups and plenty of one-on-one instruction, you’ll learn how to capture the majesty of nature wherever you are. Cost includes pick up and return from downtown Vancouver. Absolutely beautiful and memorable day! Due to there not being enough signed up for the Stawamus Chief Hike on the day I had booked, Nafees accepted me on the Joffre Lakes Tour. The scenery was beautiful, the hike was challenging and the group was a lovely mix of travellers. Nafees knowledge of Vancouver and the hikes was outstanding and he was very accomodating and an experienced guide and photographer. I would recommend booking with Nafees if you have the opportunity. Highlight of my trip!

The hike was a bit challenging because it's very steep and has several stairs at the beginning of the hike but it's not a long hike so it is very doable. The last part has chains and ladders which are really fun! I would however suggest you have a good pair of hiking boots for the trail since its all rock and you want to have a good grip. Nafees is an awesome guide. We did 2 different hikes with him and he always made sure we had a great time. He is fun, friendly and experienced. I will definitely book more hikes with him when I'm back in Vancouver.

A great hike up chief to first peak. Was quite challenging but Nafees was great at giving tips. He also takes amazing photos of you on the hike! Definitely recommend
