On this unique tour, we pick up bikes at a central location in Stockholm and head out to our destination with a comfortable warm-up 35 min bike ride. Once there we will take our sauna and explore our inner Viking! After our sauna, we sit down to a rustic comfortable ski lodge type of lunch in front of a fireplace and embrace Swedish lifestyle at its finest. Then we bike back to the city. ( If you prefer NOT to bike I will meet you at your hotel and we can go by public transport for twenty minutes out to the lake and nature reserve where the tour begins). There are separate saunas for men and women. On certain days they are shared. No bid deal for Swedes. From the sauna, we walk immediately outdoors and thirty steps down to the lake. You may walk with a wrapped towel and skinny dip once in the lake or with a swimsuit. Your choice! Tour includes Bus tickets (If we choose not to go by bike) Bikes Towels Lunch (with beer/wine) Photo of the big plunge! (Optional) Duration appx 4 hours

Excellent local experience that would be very difficult to replicate for a foreigner without this kind of tour. Very pleasant bike ride to the area, giving you a different view of Stockholm and the surrounding area. It’s a workout but not overly challenging. The sauna is great and the restaurant connected to it has very good food. Enjoyed the time and conversation with Phil.

Philip was a great guide. This is a unique experience and it has it all! A little biking, sauna, ice cold water and a warm lodge with a wonderful meal. Bike back. Good for beginner bikers!!! Philip makes it a breeze.

My husband and I loved this experience and consider it the highlight of our whole Scandinavian trip. Philip was a knowledgeable, fun and savvy host. He planned a great day: we biked at a lovely pace through beautiful scenery and had a chance to stop at sites to take in the views and learn; we went to hidden gem sauna and lake at the perfect time so we had it mostly to ourselves (great planning); and we had a delicious lunch with fantastic conversation. I think this truly captures a slice of Swedish life and for the time spent we got so much more out of it than anything else we could have planned ourselves. I would recommend it 100% and would love to go again. Thank you, Philip!
