We booked this tour online before leaving home. There are many such tours but what attracted us was the convenience of a hotel pick up. Prepare for along day and dress for the weather. Ours was cold and wet. However, the guide was so knowledgeable and never stopped talking! This was great, his history was excellent and the sites we were taken to are so out of the way you would never find them on your own. A coffee/tea and snacks were provided at a lovely farm which hosts yet another historic site. Excellent tour.

The company changed our date to October 6 Sunday and we agreed because we wanted to see Sigtuna regardless of the date. But the guide did not take us to Sigtuna in this tour which was very disappointing. We realized it after the tour was over. Very disappointed.

As with my other review for STOEX, I once again encountered a cancellation with no explanation from this company. When the tour from my other review was canceled, I booked this one halfheartedly as the only viable substitute on Viator. Two days before I was set to leave for Stockholm, they canceled with no explanation, merely telling me they "hope I can make the [day after]." No, actually, I am flying back to another continent the day after. So, no, I can't do this tour some other day.
I have booked tours through Viator and directly with tour companies all over the world. Never have I encountered such poor customer service as STOEX. The worst part was, they didn't even issue a refund for this last-minute cancellation. I had to demand one from them, and when I still didn't get a response, I had to cancel it myself on Viator (luckily, I still had one day left to cancel on Viator for a full refund).
Never book with STOEX.
