We had a fantastic time on the Quito Street food essentials trip We were lucky that there was just the two of us and our guide Santi, was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable We loved a lot of the fruit and juices we sampled, as well as the viche which was superb Aside from the food, we saw some fantastic street art Santi took us to places we would never have found by ourselves, so it was well worth having a local guide

Santiago was our guide for this two-hour walking tour around Quito. It was relatively easy walking for most travelers. We stopped off at some markets and hole-in-the-wall type places for delicious and overall pretty healthy food and drinks. We had fresh fruit, lots of fresh juice, empanadas, and some traditional breakfast dishes. This tour is approachable for vegetarians or meat-eaters. We were also impressed with Santiago himself. He told us a bit about his travels across South America, as well as his music career. He is fluent in many languages.

It was a wonderful experience! A way to learn about Quito through food and conversation. Santiago was warm, intelligent and fun. He chose delicious spots to introduce us to Ecuadorian street food.
