Our stops vary from week to week, but some of the samples may include a German goetta sandwich, Belgium waffles, croissants, pierogies, fudge, cheese, soup and gelato.     We will stroll through, as well as outside Findlay market sampling food at restaurants and various market vendors. The market is situated in the middle of Over the Rhine, an historic German neighborhood, north of downtown Cincinnati. We will meet a couple of the owners and you will learn about the market's history as well as the German immigrants that settled Cincinnati. Your guide will point out the favorite stops in the market, so you wish can return and shop on your own. You will learn how to use the free streetcar that loops from the market to downtown Cincinnati also. We promise you won't leave hungry!

  • Wear comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing (an umbrella if needed). Bring a water bottle for hydration in warm weather. We walk less than .5 mile, but we will be standing at various food stalls. There are benches, tables and chairs surrounding the market.
  • This is a wheelchair accesible tour, but please be aware the market may be crowded, which can make meaneuvering a wheelchair difficult.
  • All guests must check-in 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.

wonderful, walking tour. Learned a lot of history about the German influence in the area, as well as other cultures that have also made this place a good home with all that influx of people they brought all their food with them, this tour is a great way to experience history in a more tangible form.
