A special tour at a special time of day in the city.  The pickup is in your accommodations and the plan is to find the best view of the sunset! The rhythm is slow-paced with a lot of conversation, historical facts and curiosities. Through the Historical Center and along the river Douro with his bridges and all the way to the ocean. Then back again to the city center, we’ll explore neighborhoods like Virtudes and landmarks like Clérigos Tower looking for the best view points, to watch as the light changes in Porto. When we arrive at the best view point to watch the sunset, we'll provide you a drink to make the occasion even more special. We’ll finish by dropping you off at your dinner reservation as the special guest that you are. Important: Starts 2 hours before sunset and dependent on Sunset hour. This was a fantastic tour with a wonderful guide taking us thru the magical, winding, narrow side streets in Porto on both sides of the Douro while telling us all about the city. I loved our stop at Cafe El Rey, a neighborhood bar where our guide João’s grandfather used to visit. We discussed history, Porto, his family, and more over wonderful espresso, pastels de nata and glasses of Favalos while a little rain passed by. We explored Fisherman’s Village and visited several beautiful view points and ended the evening as the sunset, drinking sparkling wine at the Mosteiro Santo Agostinho da Serra do Pilar. It was our last night and this was the perfect way to spend it.

Had a great evening chasing the sunset with Joao! This is a really personalised tour - as we did the trip at the end of our stay and had visited the main sights Joao took us to some places that were a bit more off the beaten track but with stunning views. He’s so so proud of his city and if you aren’t already in love with the place when you start the tour you will be at the end!
