As you cruise along the river you can enjoy the lush scenery, the soothing sound of birdsong, the river wildlife and the hypnotic lapping of the water against the boat. Then it’s time to enjoy a fantastic Safari! Let us take you off the beaten track and into the heart of the Algarve! In a convoy of jeeps, we travel up hills and down dales, crossing streams and traversing meadows. Enjoy the spectacular scenery and pure air as we travel along earthen tracks. Learn about the different flora and fauna and see some of the old customs still in practice - the traditional way of making of honey and distilling of medronho - a very potent local drink which you will have the chance to sample. Lunch is provided in a typical restaurant. Please note: depending on tidal conditions, the programme may be inverted.

Vriendelijke gids, met leuke kennis van de flora, we mochten alle kruiden ruiken. Toch was de tour niet wat we verwacht hadden: weinig jeep ervaring vooral veel over de weg, de stukjes off Road waren leuk! Vooral het deel op de boot viel erg tegen, we hadden verwacht om echt over de rivier het binnenland in te gaan. We dachten eigenlijk heen met de jeep en terug over de rivier met de boot. Maar we moesten eerst over de weg naar de haven en daar gingen we even een rondje door de haven. We gingen niet zwemmen en we waren veel sneller terug, we waren daar wel blij mee omdat het nog weinig bracht op de boot, we vielen letterlijk in slaap. De lunch was prima, een soort groentesoep, kip met frietjes en als toetje: een sinaasappel die je zelf moest snijden. Had verwacht om meer te zien over het kurkproces en meer te leren van de bijen/ likeur maken. Dit was echt nog geen 5minuten uitleg en daarna vooral proeven om het evt te kopen. De drie sterren zijn al wat te veel maar ach, vriendelijke gids.
