Let one of Lights Over Lapland’s professional guides take you for a short, 4-5 km guided hike in Abisko National Park! During this spectacular adventure, your guide will lead you down one of the beautiful local trails. A good example is the trail which meanders along the scenic Abisko river canyon. You will wander through an ancient mountain birch forest, enjoy stunning open views of the Abisko river delta, marvel at soaring mountain peaks, take in all the beautiful scenery around the incredible Lake Torneträsk and much more. All of our guides are highly trained and will share their deep pool of knowledge about tracks left behind by our local wildlife, local indigenous people of the region and what it is like to live in the Arctic.

PICK UP INFORMATION
If you are staying in the village of Abisko, please be ready for pick up at your hotel from 9:15 AM. Guests who are staying at STF Abisko Turiststation, please meet your guide in the hotel lobby at 9:30 AM.

If you are staying in Björkliden the pickup time is 9:00 AM.

If you do not need a pickup, please choose STF Abisko Turiststation as your pickup place and meet us in the hotel lobby of STF Abisko Turiststation at 9:30 AM.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

The morning hike with Claudio was absolutely wonderful! He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the area and shared so many fascinating insights along the way. Claudio helped us spot wild blueberries and mushrooms right beside the trail and even gave me fantastic photography tips that made my pictures turn out beautifully. The scenery was magical, and the whole experience felt peaceful and inspiring. Claudio is a fantastic guide – passionate, patient, and a joy to spend time with. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Abisko!

We joined the morning hike with the guide Claudio. He guided us to see the canyon until the delta of the river by the lake. The landscape was breathtaking. Claudio is a very passionate guide who told us very interesting facts about the park and its nature. The 2hrs hike is not demanding and its highly recommended!

This was a very memorable experience for me and my family. In this 2-3 hour tour, we got to experience clouded sky, heavy winds and snowfall, and bright sunshine!! Walking in fresh snow felt amazing, and our guide Anne was very friendly & informative.
