Let one of Lights Over Lapland’s professional guides take you for a short, 4-5 km guided hike in Abisko National Park! During this spectacular adventure, your guide will lead you down one of the beautiful local trails. A good example is the trail which meanders along the scenic Abisko river canyon. You will wander through an ancient mountain birch forest, enjoy stunning open views of the Abisko river delta, marvel at soaring mountain peaks, take in all the beautiful scenery around the incredible Lake Torneträsk and much more. All of our guides are highly trained and will share their deep pool of knowledge about tracks left behind by our local wildlife, local indigenous people of the region and what it is like to live in the Arctic.

We pick you up from any hotel in Abisko or Björkliden.

PICK UP INFORMATION
If you are staying in the village of Abisko, please be ready for pick up at your hotel from 9:15 AM. Guests who are staying at STF Abisko Turiststation, please meet your guide in the hotel lobby at 9:30 AM.

If you are staying in Björkliden the pickup time is 9:00 AM.

If you do not need a pickup, please choose STF Abisko Turiststation as your pickup place and meet us in the hotel lobby of STF Abisko Turiststation at 9:30 AM.

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

We had the best time with Cecelia on the morning hike in Abisko National Park. We saw moose up close and personal, the incredible Abisko Canyon with spectacular frozen waterfall, all sorts of birdlife, and we were given a great history of the area. Cecelia was an outstanding guide and we feel very fortunate to have been led by her. Thank you Cecelia and Lights Over Lapland.

We had a fantastic morning hike with our guide Felix. At a slow pace we went exploring. He showed us tracks of different animals, we also saw some moose from a distance. He told us about nature and everything of interest that we passed, and at the same time was able to answer our questions. History of the village, buildings and art along the way.
