This was a fun afternoon out. Although it was a cold and rainy day, the animals were still playing around and there was a lot to see. I went to one talk on Koalas and the keeper was very entertaining and passed along a lot of great information about these animals. The habitats are well designed and you can get quite close to the animals.

I really wanted to visit this zoo at the end of a cruise. It took a 2-nite hotel package for $850 to pull it off. Way over our budget! Plus an Uber both ways, which worked out great. The sad thing was I was very ill with bronchitis... I went anyway! I loved what I saw; I only wish I could see more. The bird show was a highlight. The map was a little hard to follow and I had to be careful with hills. Not sure I'll ever be there again but so glad I made it. Now I'm recovering from pneumonia.
