Pineapple in Taiwanese, “Wong Lai,” means good luck and prosperity. We invite you to make your own pineapple cakes. Follow the steps the master teaches you. Kneading the dough to crispy pastry, stuffing pineapple fillings from Tainan Guanmiao, you will find it interesting to make zesty pineapple cakes of your own. DIY Pineapple Cakes-kneading the dough, stuffing, shaping, wrapping (9 pieces/person)-is suitable for families. We will introduce the history and culture of traditional Taiwanese cakes and pastries. We did this experience with our two kids (7 and 5), and we had an awesome time. The pineapples cakes turned out great and our kids loved the overall experience.

Well organized and delicious! The cooks brought lots of enthusiasm and fun to the event and my aunt and I had a wonderful time learning how to make pineapple cakes!

Fun to have a hands on activity making an iconic Taiwanese pastry. The step by step instructions and demonstration were really helpful. I also liked learning about some Taiwanese customs in the museum.
