Our first time with Topology after recommendations from friends and colleagues. I communicated with Shirley in preparation for the trip. Shirley is very patient and prompt in her replies. I made a few changes throughout the planning stage and each time Shirley responded promptly, patiently and professionally. She even helped to check that the hotels I picked out were suitable for our stay, giving some suggestions along the way. She is flexible and accommodative.
On one of the days, the bus driver was late and Shirley (Topology) was quick to do service recovery by treating us to a sumptuous lunch.
We got Miss Vicky Chen as our guide for our 7 day trip there. On arrival Vicky greeted us with a friendly smile. She also did a very thorough introduction in the mini bus using a 3D map of Taiwan. Vicky ensured that we were safely checked in before leaving. Vicky is very knowledgeable and would often share interesting nuggets of information along the way. Given it's summer in Taiwan, she constantly reminded us to drink sufficient water to stay hydrated. She also made sure all of us has mosquito repellent on at all times (yes, she went around spraying mozzie repellent on each of our arms and legs) To the unfortunate few of us who got bitten, she readily whipped out her anti itch ointment to apply (she is well prepared and seem to have a Doraemon bag containing all necessities one can think of! She even chilled a packet of wet wipes for us)
Throughout the trip she peppered us with mini quizzes complete with jellies as reward for answering correctly, to keep the children entertained. She was very flexible and made great impromptu suggestions whenever she felt it was getting too hot or we were too tired to continue walking. She was very attentive to our needs and would try her best to bring us to eat the food we wanted to try as well as helping us to book in advance certain foodstuff so that we could skip the queue. Not only that, she even treated us to treats along the way (Tea leave egg, mochis, etc to name a few).
Knowing that it was my mother-in-law and sister-in-law's birthday, Vicky even went the extra mile of getting them a gift each (something to remember Taiwan by which made it al the more memorable for them) Shirley from Topology also prepared a cake.
All in all, Vicky made this trip very memorable and fun for our whole family. She is patient and great with kids and attentive to everyone's needs to ensure we get the best experience possible for our visit to Taiwan.
Our drivers (Mr Zhang when we were in Taipei and Mr Ling when we were in Hualien) were also very helpful and accommodative. They are always ready to help with luggage and their driving skills are superb.
Once again, a big thank you to Topology (Shirley), our bus drivers and especially our guide Vicky Chen! Thank you for making our trip such a memorable and fun filled one and we look forward to our next trip to Taiwan again!
