I had no idea what to expect. But all I’ve learned of the Māori people I love. The entertainment was phenomenal. We were taught customs and ways of life. They had at least 2 dining halls holding 70 people approx. the food that came out never ended. Beautiful tea cups, for tea coffee and 3 different desserts for each person. Don’t miss.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this experience, but it greatly exceeded all our hopes.
This is not for the faint hearted as you are welcomed by the fearsome Māori warriors upon arrival.
Once you survive the greeting it becomes evident this is an incredibly talented family. It’s an immersive experience whereby you take part in games, sports, foods and finally get to practice the Haka yourself. Not quite as easy as it looks :)
There’s a great mix of culture, fun and plenty of laughs.
The final performance of the Haka up close and personal delivers the intimidation as seen on the rugby field. It is awesome to watch live.
Dinner in the dining hall is delivered in multiple courses of foods cooked the traditional way, and it’s excessive so don’t eat for 24 hours prior!
This is a family clearly very proud of their culture and what they do here. The Chiefs daughter is a serious talent, and we couldn’t have been more impressed by how professional and enjoyable the evening was.
This experience is worth travelling to Rotorua on its own for.
Thanks to everyone for a fantastic night and experience ????????

My husband and I went on the private tour from Auckland of the Te Pa Tu Cultural Experience. It was absolutely incredible! The experience was educational, enlightening and so enjoyable. The food was also amazing - so good and so much of it! If you want to learn about the Māori people and culture, this is the place to do it for sure.
Our driver and guide, Karthik, was also incredible. This is a very long day - about 11 hours, and he kept us entertained and enlightened with so much history, culture, details of plants, geology, just about everything you could ever want to know about the area. We really loved our time with Karthik and highly recommend him to anyone coming to the area!
