Enjoy a fun and exciting day of deep sea sports fishing. From the beach in Tamarindo, head out to Costa Rica’s Continental Shelf just 30 minutes away. Our incredible boat, the Rhino Charger, is a a 31’ Island Hopper and the only charter with a flybridge. Whether you’re hoping to get your hands on one of Costa Rica’s famous Billfish, or to explore the coastal areas in search of Roosterfish, this charter will provide you with top notch sportfishing gear and know-how. Expect Shimano reels, custom rods, and Penn spinning gear, as well as an array of lures. There are a huge number of species available in Tamarindo including Billfish, Mahi Mahi, Cubera Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Jack Crevalle, and many more. You may even land a giant Marlin or Sailfish. Your captain's international fishing experience will give you an insight into this unique fishery and give you a fighting chance of bringing in your personal best. Included will be lunch at mid-day and a variety of snacks and beverages.

Had a great time out with Maikal and his crew. I messed up the booking on tripadvisor, but Rihno didn't stumble at all and still helped us have a great trip with nothing more than a quick phone call on the beach. I caught a sailfish (big one- bucket list!) and the rest of our party all pulled in some yellowfin that made for great sushi. Pro tip: the only real way to get fish home from Costa Rica is to check it. Buy a cooler and pack it full of frozen fish, tape it closed, and check it. Don't put ice in the cooler, the airlines don't want that stuff melting on other passenger's luggage. Even with the hot weather (95*F) in CR we had fully frozen fish when we got home to the states.

We booked a full-day sports fishing charter with Rhino Charters and were pleased with the boat and the crew. We were a group of 5 (4 adults and one tween). The boat provided snacks (chips and salsa, fresh pineapple) and a great Costa Rican lunch, along with bottled water, sodas and beer. The boats equipment was decent. We hooked into a few dorado, sailfish (but they got away), marlin (got away) and a wahoo. The crew filleted the fish for us and recommended Walter’s Place to bring our fresh catch to have cooked (GREAT PLACE). We had a good trip, we were pleased with the professionalism of the crew and the boat. We are avid deep sea fishers and would recommend this boat and crew to others.

Amazing family experience with Captain Mike & his crew. Everyone is super friendly & attentive. We even caught some nice tuna & sailfish during the process. We would definitely recommend this charter to anyone headed to Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
