Tanah Lot, Tanah Lot, Indonesia Tanah Lot is located around 30 km away from Ngurah Rai Airport in Denpasar. Coming from Denpasar on the main highway and arriving in the town of Kediri, you will certainly not miss the large sign at the main intersection announcing the southwest turn to Pura Tanah Lot. To reach the temple of Tanah Lot you will need to cross some dry land then climb a hill to reach the site of the temple.
Inside the temple area, you can just walk around and explore its photogenic surrounding. Although famous for its sunset view, you may also want to try coming at really early in the morning, so that there will be less crowd and higher chance to have a serene image of the temple. There are also several temples that you can visit around Tanah Lot. They are Pura Pekendungan, Pura Batu Bolong, Pura Jero Kandang, Pura Enjung Galuh and Pura Batu Mejan.
These temples have a variety of legends and myths surrounding their historical roots. When Nirartha left Beraban village, he bestows a special keris -a blade like a traditional weapon- to the Beraban leaders. The Ki Batu Gajah keris was said to possess the ability to repel plant diseases from crops. This keris was kept in Pura Pekendungan, before it is now safely stored in Puri Kediri. But on Odalan day, Ki Batu Gajah keris is always involved in the ceremonies.
Pura Batu Bolong is another extraordinary sea temples build upon a jutting rock cliff. Batu Bolong means “hollowed stone”, depicted from its obvious characteristic. It is said to be the twin of Tanah Lot, with many similar features between the two. 60 minutes
Jatiluwih Green Land, Tabanan, Indonesia The Jatiluwih rice terraces in the namesake upland village in West Bali are most famous for their dramatic and exotic landscapes. The cool highlands and the breathtaking scenery of this village at the foot of Mount Batukaru makes for wonderful photo opportunities, and serves as a soothing retreat away from the island’s crowded south.
Once a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site candidate, the Jatiluwih rice terraces comprise over 600 hectares of rice fields that follow the flowing topography of the Batukaru mountain range. These are maintained by a traditional water management cooperative known as subak, which dates back to the 9th century. The cooperative itself eventually won recognition as a dominant factor in Bali’s ‘cultural landscape’ entry on the heritage list. 60 minutes
Lake Beratan, Tabanan, Indonesia This lakeside temple was constructed in honor of Dewi Danu, goddess of the lake that was formed by a volcanic eruption 30,000 years ago 60 minutes
Taman Ayun Temple, Mengwi, Indonesia one of ancient temple in Bali ,

Overall we enjoyed our tour with Ketut as he drove us to many places. He did show us the detailed tour for Jatiluwih and we were impressed by it. However, it will be great if he can show us the places and share stories on the places we go to like Tanah Lot or Beratan Lake as we do not know where to really walk and what is the stories behind that location. Besides that, he did a great job by being so polite and make sure all is good with us. Thank you!

We were assigned Gede as our guide for this tour. From the start to end, we had a fantastic experience with him. He gave us a lot of information about Bali history and took us to places in north Bali which other tours do not offer. Absolutely recommended to future tourists.

We had an excellent day travelling to Tanah Lot, the stunning Jatiluwih rice terraces and Lake Beratan with the gorgeous Ulan Dani Beratan temple. It was a welcome reprieve from the bustling parts of the island and Putu was a wonderful guide and driver. Highly recommended!
