Having never been to Morocco or much of the Muslim world before and raised in the USA, my wife and I were slightly concerned that safety may be an issue with this tour — however we were quickly proven wrong, Tangier felt safer than Seattle, and we had such an authentic time with our very knowledgeable and time-considerate guide Farid. We took the 9 am ferry from Tarifa and left on the 3 pm ferry, so we had only 4 hours in Tangier but they were incredible hours that will be precious unique memories — we did Cap Spartel, quick camel ride, the Casbah, and a delicious tagine/couscous lunch — we are on week 6 of an 8 week eurotrip and we feel this daytrip coupled with sunset and drinks/dinner in Cadiz was our best day so far with very stiff competition from other days in Spain, Austria, Italy, and Greece.
