Amazing Three-Day Safari Experience
I recently went on a three-day safari with Rupia Adventure, visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti National Park. It was a memorable experience filled with stunning landscapes and incredible wildlife.
The trip was well-organized, and our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. He ensured we had plenty of opportunities to see wildlife and answered all our questions about the animals and the
My children and l recently returned from a 3-day trip with Rupia Adventure and what fun we had! Every detail was taken care of so we could sit back and enjoy the journey. We went to Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park. Tarangire was our favourite as we were able to get up close and personal with so many elephants! We stayed in lodges and it was great to cool off by the pool at the end of each day. The food was great and our Guide David made sure they catered for the kids - no request was too big. David was so patient and kind and he was always happy to stop for a toilet break or to find ice cream!
When we were making the booking, Jolanda in the office suggested we add a few extra days in Arusha at the end of our safari and I'm so glad we did. We relaxed at our hotel and enjoyed some day tours and booked a day safari in the Arusha National Park. We even got to meet Matt himself as he was at our hotel for a meeting!
Thank you Rupia Adventure for the trip of a lifetime! We will be back to explore more of your beautiful parks.

Overall, a very well organized professional experience. Matt, the owner, was incredibly flexible and accommodating when planning the trip. He was very communicative and responsive and helped make this trip stress free.
Some notable points - we ended up booking directly with Matt outside of trip advisor, as it enabled a more customized experienced. We stayed in lodges during our safari, but Matt also booked hotels before and after the safari, including rides, to enable easy stays and transfer from Kilimanjaro airport.
Pros:
Mvuli Lodge was incredible. Beautiful views, highly caring staff, and brand new accommodations. Food and service were both great.
Ngorongoro is absolutely worth the trip. Breathtaking in all respects and wildlife everywhere.
Cons:
Jua Manyara lodge was pretty much a hostel with a private bathroom. Acceptable given the short planning timeline and busy season, but, if at all possible stay at Mvuli Lodge both nights.
Minor, but there was some confusion among drivers as we were passed off to several different drivers and guides over the course of three days. It wasn't really a problem, but it did result in some downtime.
Recommendations/Expectations:
Stay at Mvuli Lodge for as much time as possible.
The parks are a couple hours from Arusha, if you stay in town before or after the trip. So when figuring out flights, factor that in.
Bring cash. USD or shillings are generally acceptable, but most places don't take card. Plan for some tips, waters, and coffee purchases.
We stayed in Mvuli Hotel in Arusha for our bookend stays. It was definitely acceptable, but nothing is reasonably nearby, so expect to just eat at the hotel restaurant and hang in your room.
Personally, I would say that Ngorongoro is a must. Lake Manyara and Tarangire were both amazing in their own rights, but I could have went with one and not the other. Instead, if you can get Serengeti into the itinerary, do that. We didn't go, but we came across other travelers that did, and their pictures were incredible.
