4-Day Safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro from Arusha - Join a group

Traveling with golden dreams safari was a blessing! We got picked up by Isaiah from the airport, and went to the local pick up place to go on the safari trip. We loved our tour guide Omar as well!! Everything was very good organized, with beautiful campsite stays and a nice group of other travelers. We loved the 4day program where we got to see a lot of animals up close. Such an amazing experience!

Loved this trip! We chose to go with Golden Dream Safaris because Victor was by far the most communicative and helpful tour organiser we contacted. Victor has a fantastic energy and made us feel immediately welcome and looked after. He maintained communication the whole way through, meeting us before the trip to brief us and checking in each day to ask how the tour was going. All the guides we met told us they love working with him and everyone was always on time and well-briefed on the plan. Victor even offers a free transfer to Arusha airport for all his clients. The tour itself was incredible. We saw so much and our guides, August (Tarangire) and Immanuel (Serengeti & Ngorongoro) were knowledgeable and we felt safe at all times. Immanuel is an expert and used his knowledge to find two lion cubs and a cheetah in the Serengeti. On both occasions we were the only people there, and we later found out that we were one of the few groups who had seen a cheetah that day! Immanuel did not like to disturb the animals which we appreciated. The drive between parks is long (around 2 hours or more) but there is lots to see on the way. The Serengeti was our favourite place and we would book an extra day there if we were to do it again as it’s so big and there’s so much to see. Re camping, be prepared that this is a budget trip so you need to go into it with the adventure mindset. The campsites are basic. A canvas tent, mattress and sleeping bag are provided. You pitch the tent but there are people to help. Although if I were to do it again I would probably bring my own sleeping bag and pillow. Our cook, Manessi, whipped up incredible hearty meals (even a pizza!) using only a camping stove and catered for vegetarians well. We were super impressed. Also be aware that as we were on a join-a-group tour, that meant that everyone was on slightly different schedules and sometimes people would swap halfway through. Most of the people in our group were lovely but we did get stuck with a couple who were very disrespectful to the guides and put us behind schedule by not waking up on time (this was not Golden Dream’s fault and Victor and Immanuel worked hard to rectify the situation). We did an add-on to Lake Natron which was awesome. Our guide Chaina was great and good to chat to over lunch. We stayed in a tented lodge for this part of the trip which well exceeded our expectations and was lovely after four days of camping - it even had a pool! We would well recommend doing the Engere Sero waterfall hike - our local Maasai guide Abraham was wonderful and taught us lots about the area and the local culture. We cannot wait to return and see the parks during the rainy season and there’s no question we would would absolutely book with Victor again.

Our 4 day camping safari (join a group) through Golden Dream Safaris was truly an amazing experience! We would rather recommend Tirangire instead of Lake Manyara National Park as you can see more there. We were lucky enough to see all the Big 5 animals except one rhino. The animals often walked right next to our car and didn't let us bother them. We had a great, experienced driver who took us to great places and stunning animals. Our cook always prepared fresh, delicious food for us. Great consideration was given to vegetarians and vegans as well. Victor took great care to make everything enjoyable for us. We were also able to store our large suitcases with him for the duration of the safari. The communication with him by mail and Whatsapp was fast and uncomplicated. I would recommend booking the safari directly through Victor though and not through a portal. Sufficient tips should be taken into account. It was a great experience and we would recommend it to anyone!
