This was definitely once in a lifetime experience. I couldn't believe the abundance of life in Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Manyara. It was far beyond my expectations.
Thanks to Jacob we saw the big 5 and all the other famous animals of the savanna - giraffes, zebras, gnus, topis, impalas, crocodiles, hippos, secretary birds, numerous eagles and vultures, and many more. But the highlight was a cheetah teaching his cubs how to hunt a gazelle. Absolutely amazing. We were so lucky, but the luck is just a fraction of the story because Jacob new where (and in this very case when) the "action" is. He is extremely knowledgeable on any matter related to the wildlife. I, personally, am passionate about birds and he was an excellent guide, identifying them in most cases within a few seconds. Once again, thank you Jacob!
As per our cook, Moshi, he was absolutely brilliant in his job. Moreover, he proved to be a great person giving his own slipping bag to my wife in the Ngorongoro camp. I cannot explain how grateful I am for what he did. Thank very, very much, Moshi!
And one, les emotional, remark. If you have any special requests, or something you really want to see, let Jacob know. Just make sure you have clearly set your expectations and I am sure, he will do his best to accommodate them.
Asante sana baba Jacob! Asante sana baba Moshi!
This is my first time for safari. Very happy with Jacob and Moshi! For Jacob, he is really professional and knowledgeable. During Safari he’s able to lock animals accurately. And also can answer many questions from me. What’s more, his driving skills are fantastic, he can find a good place when there are many cars waiting for animals.
For Moshi, our chef, is also fantastic! He cooked really well. We have different food every meal every day. Everytime we have our meal, we have soup, bread, and three main courses with vary kinds of beverage drinks.
Often, Jacob and Moshi told me some Tanzania knowledge and language.
All in all, I highly recommend mere slopes with Jacob and Moshi!
When we search for safari companies in Tanzania, thousands of them appear... Which one to choose?? What is the best? Then we found a company that has over 700 reviews, and all of them are 5 stars. It's called Meru Slopes.
We asked for information by email, and from the first moment Geofrey responded attentively to all our queries, organized the itinerary according to our requests, made suggestions! we are 2 adventurous friends, and we wanted to visit Tarangire, Serenguetti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara Parks, 5 days, accommodation in lodges. And today, like many other travelers, we want to leave our testimony, and also attribute 5 stars to the performance of Meru Slopes, not only to Geofrey, but to all the staff who work there. We particularly want to praise our guide Salehe and the chef who accompanied us. They are extraordinary!! Salehe knows all the ways, he took us to the best places to see the animals (yes, we saw the BIG 5), he knew everything about them, their way of life, he gave us the necessary time in each place, not only to take pictures, but also to feel, breathe and capture each unique moment. We did the shared safari with other travelers and the experience became even more enriching. There were 6 of us in the jeep, and each day we alternated places between us. The vehicles are very reliable, and the driver/guide is super professional.
It's hard to find words to describe the feeling of waking up in the Serengetti and simply listening to nature... But my favorite day was Ngorongoro! Be sure to visit. Get in touch today, make a reservation, and ask for Salehe, he's TOP, really good. He gave us lots of tips on places to visit in Arusha at the end of the safari, and we learned a lot from him about the Masai and Tanzania in general.
I STRONGLY recommend staying at the lodges, ours were spectacular (thanks Geofrey), it's really worth the difference in price. You only live once. We will be back and we will bring our friends. Keep up the excellent work!!!
