This was our first safari, at Mikumi National Park, which is located about 300 km from Dar es Salaam. Even though this park does not seem to be very much populated with animals, we saw many different species, and our driver had a good instinct to find them - for example, he spotted a lioness next to the carcass of a buffalo, where nobody else seemed to be going. Also he drove very safely from Dar to the Mikumi and back, which is very important, given the intense traffic of trucks and buses on the road.

I went with the guide Ezekiel and a group for a two day safari to Mikumi. It was EPIC. We saw very rare events like, leopards and cup eating a gazelle, fighting and making out monkeys. The Game driving was also nice. Lunch we had at a pool full of Hippos. Afterwards, we stopped at a nice site were we had an amazing view over Mikumi town. Very good safari
