Game viewing from open safari vehicles in the Maasai Mara has to one of the ultimate safari experiences in Africa and being able to this in a day is ideal for those with limited time available.     Pick up from your Hotel or Residence in Nairobi at 5:00am for Maasai Mara Game Reserve in a private vehicle. You will have a brief stop for breakfast at 8am on the way or you can carry picnic breakfast. 0900hrs: Arrive in Maasai Mara Game drives start at the Sekenani Gate all the way to the Maasai Mara river. Maasai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. 1300hrs: You will enjoy packed picnic lunch under a tree shade overlooking the vast landscape of the park, alternatively upon request we are happy to reserve buffet lunch for you at the Keekorok Lodge at an extra 25 USD per person. 1430hrs: A short early afternoon game viewing drive as we exit the park 1600hrs: Depart the park and start the drive back to Nairobi. 2000hrs:Arrive back in Nairobi and transfer back to your hotel.

This was a great experience. If you have only one day available, then this is the tour to go to. We were picked up at the hotel at 5 am. We had a brief stop around 830 am at the restroom, and then around 9 am we were at the Masai Mara gate. We changed the vehicle and started the safari. Our tour guide Simba was great as well as our driver Sam. Sam seemed very skilled driver considering that the road was bumpy. Simba was a great guide and very caring in regards to our needs. I loved his guidance, his information about animals, and a historical perspective in regards to the things I asked. Things to consider - there is no restroom in the park, so be prepared to use a "bush-restroom". We had a picnic lunch, and if you have dietary restrictions, let your driver know in advance. We were back at the gate around 4 pm and we were at the hotel cloae to 8 pm.

It was a amazing experience. From Chris picking us up to dropping us back off. He was very informative during the whole experience and patient. Any questions we had he answered. I would DEFINITELY recommend this experience to anyone you will not regret it. My family and I enjoyed everything.

Chris was great tour guide. I would recommend him to my family and friends when they visit Nairobi. He was early in picking my wife and I up from the Sankara Hotel. He made the 3-4 hour drive to Maisa Mara feel safe, pleasant and pain free lol. During the safari tour he was very informative and very knowledgeable about the wildlife. Because of the experience I’m considering coming back and perhaps doing a multi day tour with him.
