Jozani Forest is best known for its red colobus monkeys, which are endemic to Zanzibar. About 20 years ago, the monkeys were considered to be in danger of extinction. This trend has since reversed due to the conservation project. There are about 6000 red colobus monkeys residing in Jozani Forest. La reserva la hicimos por medio de Viator, desde que formalizamos dicha reserva, se dedicaron a mandarnos mensajes al móvil ofreciéndonos otras excursiones, el día antes de nuestra excursión directamente nos dijeron que cancelásemos con Viator y formalizásemos con ellos. Como no accedimos a ese cambio, a tres horas de iniciar la excursión nos la cancelaron.
