Umbwe route is the steepest and shortest route that has a well-deserved reputation of being the most challenging route on Mount Kilimanjaro. The first two days are extremely steep, muddy and generally making it suitable for well-trained hikers. The rapid climb on the first day with little time for acclimatization is compensated by the breathtaking panoramic views. After reaching Barranco Camp, the trail turns east and traverses underneath Kilimanjaro’s southern circuit before summiting from Barafu. Our 8-day trip is open for climbers with high-altitude mountaineering experience.
  • All necessary camping equipment (dining tents, camping table & chairs, crockery, cutlery, etc.)
  • 2 nights’ accommodation in a 3-star hotel (Aishi Machame Hotel or similar) with breakfast.
  • Dedicated support crew including assistant guides, porters, cooks, etc.)

  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

We are lucky enough to find Himalayan Glacier Adventure for our Kilimanjaro Climb. The reason we have chosen this company in the United State, they have Personalize arrangement, flexible departure and most importantly their departure is always guarantee even if you are alone or just two of you. They have local team of professional guides, support staffs and cooks which support local economy and help to increase the employment in the region. We are planning Everest Base Camp Climb in 2021 as soon as COVID-19 stop with Himalayan Glacier, definitely it is going to be our another memorable adventure in the Himalaya. Gary & Susan
